Fee & Refund Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This policy explains how school fees are charged and paid at Sautus Sunnah International Comprehensive Secondary School, and how refunds are handled. It applies to all fees paid through the school portal or at the school office.
1. Fees are fixed and published
School fees are fixed, published amounts per term, set by the school for each class. The amount shown on your invoice is the amount due — the portal never lets a payer change it. Any additional charges (for example boarding or examination fees) are shown separately and disclosed in advance.
2. No interest — ever
In keeping with our values, the school does not charge interest of any kind: there is no interest on outstanding balances and no percentage-based late-payment penalty. Where a payment is overdue, the school deals with it administratively — through reminders, a defined flat administrative charge disclosed in advance, or an agreed payment plan — never by adding a growing percentage.
3. How to pay
- Online through the parent portal, handled by our secure payment provider. The school never sees or stores your card or bank details.
- At the school office, where the bursar records your payment against your child's invoice.
The one-off application fee is ₦3,000 and may be paid online during application or at the school office.
4. Part-payment & instalments
Where the school has enabled it for an invoice, fees may be paid in instalments. Any balance not settled within a term is carried forward accurately to the next term — with no interest added.
5. Receipts
A receipt is issued for every successful payment, showing the amount billed, amount paid and any balance. Please keep your receipt and payment reference as proof of payment.
6. Refunds
- The application fee is non-refundable, as it covers the cost of processing an application.
- Where a pupil formally withdraws, tuition already paid for the unused part of a term may be refunded at the school's discretion, less any costs the school has already committed (for example books, uniforms, boarding provisions or examination entries).
- Refund requests should be made in writing to the school office and are normally processed within a reasonable period after approval.
- Where a payment was made in error or duplicated, the excess is refunded or credited to the next term at the parent's choice.
